NSWTG Hypocrisy - Ignored Property Sales Policy

Hypocritical Property Sales Policy

NSW Trustee & Guardian CEO Imelda Dodds stated:
"NSWTG has never and would never force the sale of a client’s home simply to pay our fees. Situations do arise where, following a client moving into an Aged Care Facility (ACF), the sale of the home becomes the best option financially for the client, due to the accommodation bond and fee liability from the ACF."

IPART is the Independent Pricing And Regulatory Tribunal.

And one of their handbooks state:
"Wherever possible, we will maintain and preserve your assets. The sale or lease of your property will occur if you are financially dependent on this occurring, or if the property costs too much to keep."

The above policy is disingenuous marketing only as evidenced by this case where the only reason the client was at risk of running out funds was because of $15,200 TAG fees, yet TAG tried to sell the property without acknowledging that they created the shortfall.
